The Unfinished

Hi Fred,

Thank you for sending me “The Unfinished”.  What a terrific theme and background for your compositions.

Being visually oriented, I found the images of the unfinished paintings very effective – they give you a look ‘behind the curtain’ of the work painters do.  Seeing life and presence in the eyes, in the limbs, in the positionings of the finished sections of the painting, then revealing the sketched-but-not-finished canvas surrounding them was very effective.

Your music, as always; wonderful, evocative and heartfelt.  I feel so lucky to have listened to your work over the years.  Thank you.

Great work from you and Hilke – a great team.

Best wishes to you both and congratulations on this wonderful work!

Sending you much love from Vancouver!

The Nazi Terror map and Back to Normandy, in general, is an excellent website.

The Nazi Terror map and Back to Normandy, in general, is an excellent website. I love the maps, articles, videos, and the link to your other website. This is one website that I will bookmark. I do something similar trying to pinpoint Nazi concentration camps, massacres, headquarters, etc., but I do not have the records or the details like you do. This is something worth sharing.

The music is sounding excellent

The music is sounding excellent. . I am knee deep into this project editing and hearing this is absolutely inspiring. I think it might be helpful for me to use a few excepts in different parts of the film as I edit just to get a feel for different moods in different places' I think the new version will lend itself much better to our film and style of storytelling'.

The Birds | Hitchcock & Fred Vogels

Daar doe je het voor. Een lieve vriend.

Hallo Fred,

Hartelijke groeten,

A friend
