Bomber Command raid - night of 29/30 January 1941

25 Wellingtons and 9 Hampdens. The target was the Tirpitz but it could not be located and only 19 aircraft reported bombing in the target area. Wilhelmshaven reports many houses and an old water-tower destroyed and 18 people killed with many injured. No aircraft lost.
