Alt Name: Great Saling. Opened: 1942. Status in 1944: RAF. 11 Grp. Fighter Fwd A/F. Current use: Airfield. Remarks: The current grass runway is not part of the WW2 layout, although on a similar alignment. All that remains of the original is parts of the peritrack (forming the road around the western perimeter of the current airfield), other isolated small sections of taxiway and two T2 hangars in agricultural use. The current airfield has a number of hangars and a clubhouse.
