Alt Name: Box Trees. Opened: 1941. Status in 1944: RAF. 51 Grp. EFTS RLG. Current use: Agriculture. Remarks: Little use during WW2, mainly emergency landings only. A single Spitfire or Hurricane was occasionally parked there to boost public morale. In 1946 the site reverted to farming.
