Alt Name: --. Opened: 1917. Status in 1944: RAF. 56 Wing. MSU. Current use: Housing. Remarks: Vauxhall factory built on part of the airfield. Some hangars still remain. Civil aircraft were impounded here at the start of WW2 and many (some say those not usable by the military) were lost in a tragic hangar fire in December 1940.
