Alt Name: Barmby. Opened: 1916. Status in 1944: RAF. 4 Grp. Bomber Ops. Current use: Airfield. Remarks: Known as Barmby in WW1. Two runways mostly intact but western half of airfield now gone. Original T and J(?) type hangars are still extant as part of the industrial estate in the southern part of the airfield. Modern small hangars in SE corner. (06/2002)
