Alt Name: Pollington. Opened: 1941. Status in 1944: RAF. 4 Grp. Bomber Ops. Current use: Agriculture. Remarks: Some of the buildings are still extant and in use, at least I hangar and an assortment of buildings. The old parachute store has been extended and made into a house. There is also a memorial garden to 51 Sqn. The runways are still present but bisected by the M62. (02/2005)
