Stag Lane X2ST (B)

Stag Lane X2ST (B)
Alt Name: Edgeware. Opened: 1914?. Status in 1944: --. Current use: n/k. Remarks: De Havilland. 1 EFTS. Closed in 1934. De Havilland first set up an aircraft assembly shop at Stag Lane in 1920 ( then a green field site) and I guess that adjacent to it in those days there would be a 500 metre strip of grass, more than enough for all possible needs well into the future). In 1930 De Havilland moved on to larger facilities at Hatfield - Stag Lane concentrated on De Havilland engine production. The grass strip slowly disappeared under concrete and bricks.
