On Thursday, 01 February 1945, (a part of) the aircraft of the 139 squadron (RAF), took off for a mission to Berlin in Germany from a station (airfield) in or near Upwood.
One of the crew members was Flight Lieutenant M H Wallis . He departed for his mission at 1:57.
He flew with a Mosquito (type XXV , with serial KB498 and code XD-). His mission and of the other crew members was planned for Friday, 02 February 1945.
