Aircraft: Master S/Lt(A) John Roland Hobday RNVR was killed whilst undergoing training with the RAF. On 30Mar 1944 he was flying Miles Magister T8559 from RAF Perth. The aircraft was abandoned after icing up during night flying aand crashed in the River Tay near Newburgh. S/Lt Hobday's body was recovered from the river on 11 My 1944.
