1 The North Nova Scotia Highlanders the final liberation of Authie
On 8 July, the North Nova Scotia Highlanders awaited the order to attack in the vicinity of Authie. Whereas they moved along, German shells caused several casualties among the Canadians. Authie was conquered again in the afternoon, at the cost of 160 casualties and seven Sherman destroyed, and in spite of a fanatic resistance of the Hitlerjugend Division grenadiers.
