242 Infantry Regiment (USA) arrived at Strasbourg

The regimental fronts extended for approximately 19 miles, with the 232nd Infantry on the
left, or north flank above the city of Strasbourg, the Second Battalion of the 222nd Infantry in the
city and the 242nd Infantry on the south.
